The backdrop of the film is a drowning man in the late thirties. Arve Nor is exposed to a boat accident alone on the sea, taking a settlement with his own identity in his last moment on earth. Childhood, student life and adulthood as a secondary school show against a social and cultural backdrop that addresses the political agenda of the 2nd World War, in the 1960s to 70s and up to the 1980s.
