This film, considered one of the all time classics of Thai cinema, is about a hill tribesman chased away from his village. It shows the Akha and Tao hill-tribe's animist beliefs and customs. It shows how Thai people take advantage of them selling them goods which are of no use to them and how they encourage them to grow opium.
