The story is more or less familiar to everyone, though if your entire point of reference is Disney, you are missing a wide range of interpretations and odd deviations. In this version, things are slimmed down for the brief runtime, and Aladdin's role as a weaver reminds more of The Thief and the Cobbler than the street rat of the most famous Western interpretation.
