Mads Rønning was born in Norway. After leaving school he spent one year at Drama School - Lighting Design course. Then one year at the University of Westminster studying Contemporary Media Practice. Then just before joining LIFS Autumn term 1996 he spend a year on a windjammer (Christian Radich) sailing around the world.
