Biography

Arthur John Trabsk was born in New Brighton, England in 1930. His parents were Derek Trabsk and Muriel Trabsk. His father was a postman and his mother was a seamstress. Trabsk knew in his early years that he wanted to be a filmmaker as he had developed an obsession with looking through the lens on his fathers monocle. After his father confiscated the monocle, Trabsk pestered his parents for his own monocle and they eventually let him have his own. Trabsk would spend hour upon hour looking through his new monocle - observing the world through a lens. In 1960, Trabsk set about setting up his own production company - Arthur J Trabsk Productions and the rest is history.
