Biography

Growing up in the suburbs of Oradea (Romania), Alex Tărău's love for cinema has developed at an early age. In 2015, he has made his first short film as a self-taught director. One year later, he released a series of video essays under the brand of "Arta Filmului". In January of 2017, he has finally decided to start a production company and focus on making movies. That same year, "Birdprey Productions" was born along with a bunch of aesthetically diverse short films produced by Tărău. Right now, he is still based in his hometown of Oradea, working on his next project, a horror comedy titled "Monster from the Swamp".
