Temeraire ()
During the re-imagined Napoleonic Wars, where aviators and dragons are used to combat troops, British naval captain Will Lawrence discovers an unhatched dragon egg on the French war vessel he captures. This egg was a gift from the Emperor of China to Napoleon. When the egg hatches, Lawrence decides to give up his career to care for and command the dragon, thereby becoming its captain. He names it Temeraire.
